Uday Bhosale
I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher trained at the mother institute in Pune under Guruji (B.K.S. Iyengar ), Geeta Iyengar and Prashant Iyengar. I came to yoga from a background of martial arts but was drawn to yoga under the tutelage of these masters. I began my learning and teaching in Pune from 1999 and have taught a wide variety of classes. Over the years I have taught children’s classes, assisted in medical batches and taught people with various abilities from different backgrounds ( professional sportspeople / corporate employees etc).
In 2015 I moved to the UK and have been conducting classes and workshops in the Reading area, London and all over Europe. I conducted the Iyengar Yoga National Conventions in Belgium, China, France and Ireland. I also taught in China for international yoga day celebrations.
I aim in my teaching method to bring clarity through clear, concise and precise instruction. I want to make every asana accessible to the beginner as well as challenging to the more advanced practitioner. I always start with the basic fundamentals of each asana and bring instructions that allow each practitioner to connect to that at their own level. I aim to bring a deeper understanding that allows the practitioner to explore their own responses to the practice and develop greater awareness. I have found over the years that these techniques and methods of teaching benefit everyone from those with no experience in yoga to others with many years of practice.
