Sumit Manav

Sumit Manav’s journey began at the age of 14 in Uttar Pradesh, India, when an inner calling drew him northward — to the Himalayas and to the feet of Guru Shreeram Sharma Acharya at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (DSVV), Haridwar. There, among mystics and scholars, he discovered Yoga not as exercise, but as a complete science of human consciousness.
Sumit holds a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) specialising in Yoga from Nagpur Sharirik Shiksha Vishwavidyalaya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga Science and Human Consciousness from DSVV Haridwar, and is a Yoga Alliance USA E-RYT 500 certified teacher and BKS Iyengar Yoga practitioner.
Over 25 years, he has accumulated more than 30,000 hours of teaching experience and led over 200 retreats across the globe — a life entirely devoted to this path.
He is the Founder of Lifestyle Yoga at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, and Manav Yoga UK, serving corporate clients including Emirates, Emaar, and PepsiCo. He is currently authoring his debut book, Soul Age, integrating Patanjali's Eight Limbs with Ayurveda and modern neuroscience.
