Michael Hutchinson

Michael Hutchinson is a yoga teacher, teacher-trainer and researcher with decades of experience in group classes, one-to-one consultations and delivery of training courses, day seminars and weekend retreats. He is a living example of the power of yoga to maintain good health and is committed to spreading the teachings of Sri TKV Desikachar and his father for the benefit of others, regardless of their current or previous background.

Michael serves on the committee and as webmaster for The Society of Yoga Practitioners www.tsyp.yoga and continues to study regularly with his teacher Gill Lloyd and at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India.

Michael has been following Sri TKV Desikachar since 1986 and in 2011 was recognised by him as a teacher-trainer, based on his long term commitment to practice, study and teaching. From 2005 to 2014, Michael ran Foundation and Teachers Diploma courses for the British Wheel of Yoga and in 2010 he represented BWY by teaching at the European Yoga Federation Congress in Switzerland. His current focus is on the physiological and psychological benefits of pranayama.
