Deepika has been a yoga practitioner for the last 25 years and is a senior teacher in the Gitananda Tradition. Deepika trained at ICYER, Ananda Ashram India in 2006 and after furthering her training their she is now one of the few worldwide 3000 hours advanced senior Gitananda Teachers who returns to the ashram yearly to assist with the teacher training courses.

 

In addition to this Deepika founded Yoga Satsanga Ashram with her husband Yogachariya Jnandev in 2009,Yoga Satsanga Ashram is a BWY Accredited Group and a Yoga Alliance Proffessionals registered Trainer. Deepika and Jnandev both run yoga teacher training courses in classical and authentic Sanatan Yoga which combines Hatha, Jnana and Raja Yoga. Courses offered are 300, 500 and 1000hours as well as children’s and pregnancy yoga teacher training. Deepika is also a registered IYN yoga Elder teacher.

 

Deepika loves the Indian culture and became a practicing Hindu before marriage and took the Hindu diksha ceremony and Nama darshan to officially become ARIYA. Yoga and Hinduism are very much intertwined in Deepika’s life of Yoga. Deepika and Jnandev have 3 lively sons and sees her motherhood life as a valuable yogic sadhana to raise good souls to help humanity.
