Purnesh and Rowena will be giving a special Masterclass on Mantra & Meditation at the festival, comprising of 3 sessions. In these sessions you will be introduced to the essence of true meditation: the art of Being. Discover how some of the main scriptures of Yoga provide us with powerful and practical insights and techniques that can aid us in experiencing our true nature. And learn how these principles can be easily applied and integrated in your day-to-day life, even in the midst of activities and challenging situations. You will also be introduced to some of the fundamental aspects of the science of Sanskrit mantras, and how these can be an effective tool in transcending our mind and raising our consciousness.
Purnesh, formerly known as Swami Purnachaitanya, is an internationally sought-after expert on yoga, breathwork, meditation and mantras. After completing his university studies in Indology with a specialization in Sanskrit, he left the Netherlands and moved to India to master the Vedic knowledge, rituals and recitation of mantras and Vedic hymns. In 2012, he was ordained as a brahmachari by the world-famous spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. After having conducted programs for hundreds of thousands of people all over the world for the past 15 years, he gave up his title and life as a monk with the blessing of his Master, in order to make the valuable knowledge and insights even more accessible by living a simple life in the world. His first book ‘Looking Inward’, which is a practical handbook for meditation, became an international bestseller and has already been translated into fifteen languages and published all over the world.
Rowena is not only an experienced physician, but also a trainer for yoga, breathwork and meditation programs. She is an experienced yogi and is also on the advisory board of the National Association of Yoga Teachers for The Netherlands. She also has a background and great interest in the scriptures of the Vedic tradition and Yoga, with a special love for the Bhagavad Gita. As a mother of three children, she has been blessed with ample opportunities to practice the true art of maintaining your inner peace in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of the world. Her experience and knowledge as a doctor in combination with her knowledge of the techniques and scriptures of Yoga and Meditation make her someone who is at home in both worlds and can help you effectively to find balance in your daily life.
This year Purnesh and Rowena founded Just Be together, an initiative to make the ancient Vedic wisdom and practise of meditation available free of cost through live weekly online sessions. The aim is to bring people together to meditate and share the knowledge, so that all may grow together and integrate this quality of Being in their day-to-day life. Practical knowledge and tools to return to our innate joy, peace, health and freedom, amidst a world that is increasingly stressful, chaotic and full of uncertainty. The more we connect with our true nature, the more we also feel the connection we share with the people and world around us. The initiative has started in the Netherlands and will soon be expanding internationally.
