Jesse Bannister

Jesse Bannister is one of Europe’s leading voices in Indian classical music and raga-based improvisation. A mixed-race British–Indian composer, saxophonist and sound-meditation practitioner, he has performed internationally for over 30 years and is known for bringing the depth of raga to Western instruments with clarity, emotion and spiritual focus. A disciple of Nāda Yoga master K. Sridhar, Jesse’s work bridges classical tradition, contemporary creativity and embodied listening. He appears regularly at major festivals, including World Yoga Festival, and collaborates widely across Indian classical, jazz, contemporary classical and mantra-based devotional music.
Indian Classical Ensemble with Saxophone, Tabla, Guitar, Cello & Indian voice
Jesse Bannister leads a powerful Indian classical music experience rooted in raga, rhythmic meditation and sonic devotion. Blending the lyrical voice of the saxophone with tabla, guitar, cello and Indian voice and mantra, the ensemble creates an immersive sound journey that moves between deep stillness and ecstatic uplift. Drawing on ancient melodic forms and contemporary expression, the performance invites audiences into a shared field of resonance, breath and meditative presence.
