Ellaya Eyal Mor

Ellaya Eyal Mor is an Israeli storyteller, spoken-word artist, and teacher of mindfulness and Buddhism, whose work is deeply rooted in the ecstatic tradition of Sufi poetry. Guided by a lifelong love for Rumi, Hafiz, and the great mystic poets, she has cultivated a distinctive approach to performance — treating poems as living vessels that awaken the soul’s depth, tenderness, and wildness. For over fifteen years, Ellaya has been offering ceremonial concerts that weave sacred poetry into live, devotional music. Working with exceptional musicians, she creates immersive journeys that move gracefully between stillness and ecstasy — from intimate, meditative openings into soaring, heart-lifting celebration. In recent years, Ellaya has also begun performing, and recording her own poetic creations — pieces that emerge from her commitment to spreading a message of peace through art. Alongside her performances, Ellaya leads Sufi Poetry Workshops that invite participants to embody the poems — through voice, movement, breath, and playful encounter. Her workshops offer a rare doorway into the living essence of the texts, opening people to the depth of their own hearts, to each other, and to the sacred presence that moves through all of life. Fluent in both English and Hebrew, Ellaya has toured extensively, captivating audiences both domestically and internationally. Whether performing, teaching, or conducting workshops, Ellaya embodies the richness and beauty of Sufi poetry and the flowering of spirit.
