Mel Fisher is a manual therapist, senior yoga teacher, breath coach, stretch coach, and personal trainer. Passionate about health and well-being, she has dedicated her life to helping others optimise their health, improve performance, and increase healthspan — so they can feel better for longer.

 

With a deep understanding of human physiology and biomechanics, as well as expertise in the science of breath, skeletal muscles, movement, flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular conditioning, Mel bridges the gap between ancient practices and modern science. Having spent years living in different parts of the world and meeting people from all walks of life, she is driven to make contradictory and complex health advice simple and practical. Her students benefit from accessible, easy-to-apply techniques that boost mood, energy levels, and nervous system balance — creating strength, power, and hope for a better life.

 

After more than a decade of teaching yoga, meditation, and breathwork, Mel trained as a manual therapist after witnessing increasing issues related to stress, cardiovascular health, metabolic illness, respiratory conditions, and injuries. She incorporates osteopathic adjustment techniques, physiotherapy-based massage, and craniosacral therapy to help clients recover, heal, and correct imbalances.

 

Mel’s classes are always thoroughly prepared, professionally delivered, and full of high energy, smiles, and expert knowledge. She teaches globally, leading retreats, workshops, and festivals, and has developed five signature masterclasses designed to help people master their body and mind for a longer, healthier life.

 

As co-founder of Complete Unity Yoga — a sustainable brand creating premium yoga mats and props — Mel is on a mission to make movement, breathwork, and strength training accessible to all.

 

Join Mel to learn the science of stretching and discover how to improve mobility and flexibility effectively. While flexibility is a key part of yoga, how do we actually increase it most efficiently?

 

As we stretch, Mel will also share profound insights into breathwork. We often hear about the power of breath, but what can we actually do with it? How should we breathe, and why does it matter? In this class, we’ll explore the importance of CO2, understanding that when we breathe, we’re not just influencing oxygen—but more importantly, we’re manipulating CO2 levels.

 

By the end of the session, you’ll be introduced to the three categories of breath, giving you a deeper awareness of what’s happening in your body—so that as you move through the festival, you’ll recognise and understand different breathing techniques, even those you may have never tried before.
