Mahesh (Ivan Pavlicek) is a yoga teacher trained in and by the Bihar School of Yoga, Munger, India, with over 5 years of residential ashram training to date. Drawn to the complete, traditional, spiritual dimensions of yoga from the start, he first completed a three-year Yogic Studies course with the Satyananda Yoga Academy Europe / Australasia, and received formal teaching qualifications in 2010. Then in 2011, he decided to go deeper and took part in the 3-year Sannyasa Training course that took place between 2012 and 2015 at the Bihar School of Yoga in India. He has been closely affiliated with the mission of his guru, Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, ever since. Drawing from the immense depth of the Bihar Yoga system, and having received training in hatha, raja, karma, bhakti, and jnana yoga, Mahesh has been striving to present yoga as the complete way of life that it is, whatever the focus in any particular workshop or course.

Apart from learning (and sometimes teaching) in India, this journey has taken him to many places: his students in the UK, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary, Spain, Italy, and the USA have been given the exposure to asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra, mantra yoga, and essential lifestyle adjustments (yama & niyama), all taught in a down-to-earth manner allowing practical application in daily life.

During the past year, Mahesh has been running several online courses through the Satyananda’s Yoga Centre, London, catering to students with a wide range of abilities and personal goals, and exploring how the teachings of his master can be best transmitted to his students. As the only way to truly benefit from yoga is to practise it daily, all courses by Mahesh are designed in a way that stimulates, supports, and requires independent home practice, including video and audio materials, and personal guidance.

Mahesh’s online courses and more information about his work can be found on www.syclondon.com and www.thelivingyogaproject.com.
