Yoga Teacher Certification

APMG are welcoming applications to become examiners for their Certification of Yoga Professionals http://ow.ly/TgeZ30kEyA0 scheme. As an accredited certified body by the NABCB; this certification will accredit yoga professionals to ensure highest standards in instructing and teaching Yoga are met. About the Qualification

As an accredited certification body by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies in India (NABCB) for the Yoga Instructors (Level 1) and Yoga Teachers (Level 2) in accordance with the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals of the Ministry of AYUSH, APMG is accredited to provide the Certification for Yoga Professionals. The aim of this certification is to ensure that the highest standards of instructing and teaching yoga are met enabling practitioners to receive a quality yoga experience.

Both levels include a written exam containing objective testing style questions, a practical yoga observation of yoga practice and verbal questions Level 2 Yoga professionals are eligible to apply for teaching roles by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations to travel to various countries to promote yoga. Having a Certification of Yoga Professional recognised by QCI, gives preference to candidates when recruiting teachers in India.

This certification scheme aims to certify Yoga professionals using the principles of third-party assessment by;

  • Defining the competence standards for the Yoga professionals

  • Defining the Certification process and

  • Defining requirements for competence and operation of assessment bodies.

This certification has been developed by the Scheme for Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professionals (SYCYP) launched by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and managed by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) as a scheme under the Indian Yoga Association (IYA).
